 3U (19") shelf unit with hinged front panel - fitted with two DIO96 backplanes           


Low-cost, general purpose relay card shelf units.  Will accommodate upto eight  DIO24Mx type relay cards (192 relays).  Ideal for relay matrix switching applications and for incorporating into cabinet system designs, using, for example, a PXI chassis as the system controller.  Can be used with our USBDO96 card.  Also, directly compatible with National Instruments PCI/PXI-6509, DIO96 & DAQPAD-6508 96 channel Digital I/O DAQ (100 pin) cards.

General purpose shelf unit.  Also connects directly to the NI PCI/PXI-6509, DIO96 & DAQPAD-6508 (96 channel Digital I/O cards) via standard NI (R100-50-50) ribbon cable assembly.

  • Standard 19" shelf unit, (3U height), fitted with two DIO96 backplanes and hinging front panel.

  • Front panel available with or without handles fitted.  (Please specify when ordering if you do not require handles to be fitted).

  • Front panel is held in horizontal position (retained by a small chain) when in hinged down position.

  • Front panel is Aluminium anodised &  fitted with earth stud on rear face.  Includes earth strap (connected to one side panel).

  • Backplanes can be fitted with upto eight relay cards  from our DIO24Mx range (192 channels), or can be fitted with a mixture of relay card types.  (Note: relay cards are not included with the shelf unit - these items need to be ordered separately).

  • Access to all relay contacts and power connections via screw terminal or header connector options at front edge of relay card.

  • Can be used in conjunction with our low cost USBDO96 card to control upto 96 relays.

  • Shelf assembly is reversible, allowing wiring to exit the shelf from the rear of the shelf, rather than the front.

  • Shelf design allows relay cards to be withdrawn inside shelf for wiring access to screw terminal blocks or headers.  Cabling can pass up or down through open frame of the shelf assembly or directly to connectors mounted on a custom front panel.

  • Onboard LED status indicators for each relay.  LED's are visible from above, through the open frame of the shelf assembly.

  • Requires external 12V DC power supply (also available) to power each relay card.  750 mA (max) required per relay card (if all relays are switched on).  PSU connects via rear panel sockets on each relay card or via dedicated screw terminal connections on each relay card.

  • Requires a standard NI R100-50-50 ribbon cable assembly in order to connect directly to any of the National Instruments 96 channel DIO card options.

  • Accessory products such as blank front panels and 19" shelf mounting kits are available for this shelf unit.
