The SERDO8R is a PC104 profile, eight channel, general purpose, serial (RS232) relay card.  The SERDIO8R offers an additional 8 general purpose DIO channels - accessed via a header connector.

Designed to be connected to any RS232 compatible serial port and commanded via a simple command protocol.  Each output can be independently set under software control.  The PCB tracking will handle 4.5 amps (relays have a 10 amp contact rating).

The card is available with two screw terminal blocks which allow connection to all of the NO/Com/NC contacts of the 8 onboard relays.  A third screw terminal block is provided giving user access to the 0V, 5V and 12V DC power connections.

Compatible with Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP/Vista, MacOSX and Linux platforms.

Available with LabVIEW, LabWindowsCVI, Visual Basic, Visual C, C#, JAVA , VEE & Delphi example programs (see the 'downloads' section of our website).

• Relays are SPDT, Form C, changeover type, with N/O, COM and N/C contacts taken to the screw terminal blocks along each side of the card
• Relay Operate 12mS /release time 7mS Max (inc software overhead)
• DIO channels on SERDIO8R are TTL level digital voltages, each DIO channel can source 25mA
• 0V, 5V and 12V also taken to a separate 3 way screw terminal block adjacent to the relay contact screw terminal block for possible onward use
• Standard (9  way D Type straight through) serial cable required for connection to PC serial port (see below)
